Minutes of the last AGM:
The minutes of the last AGM, held on September 19th 2004 were read and
confirmed. There were no Matters Arising.
Chairman’s Remarks
Bob made the bold promise that he would not say very much, but that he
had downloaded our stats for the previous season. It looked a pretty
average season- won nine, lost thirteen. This is about average for the
past twenty years. The number of players who scored lots of runs was
good- quite a few people, and Mike and Geoff got many wickets. As usual
people had to come and go- it is sad to see Stuart go and it is always
great to see people come. A great season, played in the right spirit
(this was followed by the now annual polite ripple of applause)
Captain’s Report
“It was alright, wasn’t it,” said our influential skipper. It was a
shame that the season had to finish as we had played throughout with a
great team spirit, and that Gary Knapper bowled brilliantly at the end
of the season. The two spinners did the business again and the fielding
was great, especially WG’s spectacular dives. The skipper added that
Tim Benson was scared of the ball and that Rich scored a good hundred on
tour, but this was bettered by Geoff scrambling a single off the last
ball for the win. It was good fun and that we’ll kick on next season
with some new signings. Also, many players contributed by turning up
when we needed them most, notably Dog.
Treasurer’s Report
We have saved money by moving to a cheaper ground, but Tom Hill still
owes match fees from last season and should hang his head in shame. The
accounts are not exciting- we have £82 which is quite a nice handful.
Match fees should stay at £6, depending on confirmation from the council
on pitches. Tom proposed the accounts and Jim Yelland seconded.

Fixtures 2006
Croydon Spinners can no longer play us as they are struggling for
numbers, hopefully we will still play Morden Parish. Also we have a
possible fixture against Primary Club. Worcester Park are now playing
league cricket. We may play Southwick again.
Malcolm will pass on some details about further fixtures.
Tour 2006
Is booked for 7th, 8th, 9th of July.
Next year we hope to go for a later weekend. Price is £36 a night. Bob
says don’t worry- we won’t be in the world cup final. He believed that
this would be contested by Trinidad and Tobago, until someone pointed
out that they were not separate teams.
